LaPlante Seven

 

The Lynn LaPlante Seven (LL7) is

fired with the spice of Afro-Cuban

Jazz and Salsa, but at other times

 chilling with the flavor of Miles.  LL7

 adds energy and excitement to

Jazz! Led by Lynn LaPlante, this

7-piece group presents an exciting

 mix of both Latin and straight

-ahead jazz, with an emphasis on

rich arrangements.  LL7 Features

Sax, Trumpet, Trombone and vocals

 driven by the rhythmic pulse of

 LaPlante’s piano, along with

acoustic bass, drums and Latin

 percussion.

Hailing from Detroit, they play club

 dates in some of the best-known

 jazz clubs, including The Dirty Dog,

 Cliff Bell’s, Baker’s Keyboard

Lounge, the Black Lotus, Cadieux

Cafe, and the Music Hall Jazz Café.

They have been featured on the

Music Hall Discovery Series radio

 program hosted by Judi Adams, on

 WVMV-FM, 98.7 FM in Detroit, and

have been featured at the Detroit

Jazz Festival, And the Michigan Jazz

 Festival.  LL7 has also developed a

 loyal following of Latin Dancers

from local dance clubs.
