Megan Kashat

 

Iraqi pop and electronic singing

 sensation Megan Kashat is not only

 singing her way to stardom but also

 painting her way as well. Megan is a

 dedicated artist that expresses her

 creativity through song, dance,

writing and painting. The Detroit

native found solace through her

 creativity at a young age, and had

her first break when she danced for

 Mariah Carey at the tender age of

16.

 

Megan’s dancing abilities lead her to

 working with artists dancing in front

of thousands with the Goo Goo

Dolls, Jesse McCartney, Big Sean,

 Christina Aguilera, T.I., Charlie

Wilson, and even dancing on stage

at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Megan

has toured the US, Brazil and spent

 some time living in Ibiza working

for DJ Steve Aoki while analyzing

the world of electronic music.

 

After traveling to compete for the

World Cup of Dance in 2008, Kashat

 then trained at the Broadway Dance

 Center in New York City, where she

 pursued the arts and honed in on

her craft. During the time she spent

 in the city, she discovered she

 possessed another skill, painting.

She traveled around the US

continuing her studies in the arts

 including songwriting and music

 production.

 

Megan has innovatively incorporated

 her artistry in her performing by

 painting live on stage and dancing

 during her musical performance.

She recently launched Paintings By

 Masha, which is a collection of her

 abstract paintings, some of which

were done during her live

performances. Her commitment to

her artistry and unprecedented

fusion of artistic abilities has lead

her to work on her latest EP titled, A

 Dirty Deed For Fame, scheduled to

 release this summer.
