Justin and the Swingbeats

 

A native of Michigan, Justin Dean

is a Las Vegas based singer of the

jazz and big band standards of the

 Great American Songbook, dance

 classics, and current pop hits.

Justin has been a lifelong fan of

 Frank Sinatra, big band era music,

 and jazz/pop standards since the

first time, at 8 years old, he heard

Bing Crosby sing “White Christmas”

 while sitting in front of the stereo

 during the holidays. This “Golden

Era” of orchestras, combined with

 satin smooth baritone vocals,

shaped his musical interests and

always reminded him of spending

 the holidays at his grandparents’

house surrounded by family.

 

Being a lifelong fan of Sinatra,

Justin’s core style harkens back to

the Golden Era of The Lounge

Crooner when legends such as

Frank, Dean, Sammy, Elvis, and

Bobby Darin were the stars of the

times. Those were the days when a

man stepped out for a night on the

town in his best suit with a carefully

 knotted tie (loosened just so below

 the open top button,) sipped on a

 meticulously crafted cocktail made

 to his strict specifications, and

entered a room with a lady on his

 arm (or he at least exited with one.)

 

While having roots in the music and

 spirit made popular by The Rat

Pack, Justin is also influenced by

many other legendary and modern

 artists such as Michael Buble, Tom

 Jones, Neil Diamond, Maroon 5,

Huey Lewis & The News, Bruno Mars,

 & Justin Timberlake. It is Justin’s

goal to, “melt the audience with

 sentimental standards that make

you feel easy and wistful, then draw

 them to their feet with iconic dance

 and current pop hits.” The intent is

to create a musical journey that will

 keep audiences of all ages glowing

 while celebrating to some of the

 greatest songs ever written.

 

Since 2007, Justin has appeared on

PBS television, been featured in

many Las Vegas, Detroit, and

Atlanta hotels and lounges, and

 performed for charity fundraisers,

 political campaign events, and some

 of the world’s largest corporations.

In 2015, after hearing Justin at the

Italian American Club in Las Vegas,

 Steve Lawrence (of the iconic

 singing duo Steve Lawrence & Eydie

 Gorme) said, “Hey, this kid’s good!”

 

Justin’s all-star SwingBeats band

 members are some of the most

experienced, world class musicians

 to be found anywhere. His team is

an A-list comprised of seasoned

 professionals who have played with

 Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Barry

 Manilow, Michael Bolton, Julio

Iglesias, John Fogerty, Chaka Khan,

and The Righteous Brothers and

have opened for Tony Bennett,

Sheryl Crow, & Don Rickles. Justin

and his band now specialize in

providing high quality live

 entertainment exclusively for

 luxury private functions, galas,

 corporate events, and destination

 weddings worldwide. He is

passionate about using his love for

great songs to, as he says, “keep the

 spirit alive and bring enjoyment to

 others through music.”
