PanaMO/OB Succari

Quoting from Detroit Library 2015 Java & Jazz: “Since his last impressive performance with us, we are highly anticipating the return of the master Panamanian percussionist Obed Succari. He brings an exiting energy with his band PanaMO, who has become a major force in metro Detroit’s live entertainment scene. Fusing his Latin percussion training with a Motown-inspired musical style has allowed Succari to create a jazz sound like no other.”

My PanaMO ensemble, named as a portmanteau of “Panama” and “Motown” is a mixture of Afro Latin in spirit combining modernity and respecting its essence adding the most refine jazz from Detroit area.
